About The Writers

Rachel Henwood has more than nine years' experience in the advertising industry, working as both an art director and a copywriter for successful and well-respected agencies around the world. She now writes for a variety of websites, specialising in the areas of technology and the Internet.

Tan Tee Hwa has been training logisticians for the past 20 years under the Singapore Logistics Association. A Bachelor of Science graduate from the University of Singapore, he has more than 30 years' experience in shipping and logistics, having held management positions in the PSA, NOL, Singapore Shipping Corporation, ABC Containerline N.V. and C. Steinweg Warehousing.

He has a strong passion for nurturing the young to join the exciting logistics industry in Singapore, as seen in his active involvement in setting up the logistics curriculum for the Institute of Education in 2003, and in his contribution to this book. He presently lectures on seafreight forwarding operations and international transport management.He is also Managing Director of CTS Resources Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based company with a branch office in Belgium, which provides consultancy work on transport logistics and sourcing raw materials and equipment on behalf of clients.
